Free Shred Events

The Council on Aging will host two free shred events. May 6 will be at Catawba County SW Branch Library. June 4 will be at Mt Zion Lutheran Church in Conover. Both events are from 9 am to noon. Call the Council on Aging for more information at 828-328-2269.

Senior Center Closed Feb 2 and 3, 2026

The West Hickory Senior Center will be closed Monday, Feb 2, and Tuesday, Feb 3, 2026 due to inclement weather. The AARP Tax Phone will not operate due to the senior center closure.
