CVCC 2022 Community Partnership Award

On May 5, Catawba County Council of Aging was recognized by Catawba Valley Community College with a Community Partnership Award for outstanding dedication, commitment, and support of educational opportunities for senior citizens in our community. CVCC has partnered with the West Hickory Senior Center, operated by the Council on Aging, to provide non-credit classes each year since 1980.

Senior Center Closed Feb 2 and 3, 2026

The West Hickory Senior Center will be closed Monday, Feb 2, and Tuesday, Feb 3, 2026 due to inclement weather. The AARP Tax Phone will not operate due to the senior center closure.
