On May 5, Catawba County Council of Aging was recognized by Catawba Valley Community College with a Community Partnership Award for outstanding dedication, commitment, and support of educational opportunities for senior citizens in our community. CVCC has partnered with the West Hickory Senior Center, operated by the Council on Aging, to provide non-credit classes each year since 1980.
A flu shot clinic will be held October 23, 9 am to 4 pm, at the West Hickory Senior Center. Appointments are required, call 828-328-2269.
